Uncle Ches & I in St.Albans,NL for a ice fishing trip.We were trying to get a few of the Rainbow Trout that escaped from the fish fram.AS you can see there was a lot more with the same idea.
This is Uncle Ches sitting on his bucket fishing his several holes.
And guess what Uncle Ches was the first one that morning to catch a Rainbow.
When the ice and snow was gone we went back with the boats to see if we could have some more luck.Dave Cumby and I were in one boat and Uncle Ches and his son Karl Pye were in the other.So the bet is on for the most fish per boat for the trip.

Karl caught the first one.I guess they got a good start on the bet because you can be sure Skipper Ches is going to catch fish.
Nice one Karl but before the trip is over Skipper Ches caught the biggest one again and they won the bet.They beat us by 4 fish.
This is our place on the Labrador.As you can see we have to build our wharf back before we start fishing.The sea washed it away over the winter.These pictures were took in the 1988 fishing season.

Here is a Porpus we caught in the Cod Trap.
A Iceberg tore up our Cod Trap so we had to take it up and spread it out and mend it up.As you can see we done a great job of building the wharf back.
Heres the dog i had at the time(Skip).He had lots of fun that summer because the woods was only a 100ft from the house and there was lots of rabbits.
