Moose & Caribou Pictures
The next few pictures are of a young Caribou trying to make some new buddies on the Heart's Content Barrens,Trinty Bay,NL.
The usual way to make new friends in NL is to offer them a cold beer.
Typical Newfoundlander two at a time.
Even the children made a new friend.

G.G. needs a little help with hauling out the panch.
G.G. is cutting out my favorite part of the moose to eat if its not damaged.

Once you get the moose out of the woods you must skin and clean the quarters to get it ready for the Butcher.
These pictures were taken two weeks after the Seal Hunt was over. The pictures were taken from the Ferry that crosses the Straits between Newfoundland and Labador.I don't think there is any sign that the Seal Herd is in any danger of overkill. This is just one small area.I wouldn't want to guest how many there are on the whole ice flow and how much Cod & other kinds of fish they are eating.
Here is a few picture's of three Moose Hunts Calvin Peddle and his hunting partners had. They were very lucky to get 3 real nice moose and not very far from home. They killed these moose in Glover Road, Harbour Grace,NL.
Here is a Moose Calf in Deer Lake,NL.
